    Hello everyone,

Long time lurker, finally decided it was time to come and get some advice. I got my Note 3 in February and since then have had little issues with it, but one thing is kinda grinding my gears.
On the snapchat app, when you take video it usually records for 10 seconds (at least on my old iPhone, and other friends phones it does) but when I record, it records for about 7 seconds maximum. And the little time meter at the bottom never fully fills up. It kinda just fills a bit more than 3/4 of the way and stops. I included a picture in this post.

However, I can go into the video settings within the app and change the video quality from "standard" which is the default in which Im having the issue, to "low". When I do that, it will record for the full 10 seconds but the quality is just that, "low". Barely can you make out whats going on in the video. I feel thats a waste since the Note 3 has a very good camera IMO. I have tried to clear the cache, the data, uninstall and re install, restart the phone, with no luck. I also have emailed the developers about 1.5 months ago but they slyly write the message "We will probably not get back to you for any reason" so there is really no way to know for sure if they are looking into this.

My question is, has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, is there any fix for it?

    Thanks alot!

PS. If this is in the wrong section, I apologize!

Is this with the latest snapchat update? The one with the new chat features?

I wrote this actually with the snapchat before the update however the new update is kinda giving me similar problems. Video quality is set at normal, and its recording for a total of about 7 seconds. Change it to "low" quality and it records for the full 10 seconds, (sometimes even 11 seconds?)

I too have the same problem and I have the updated snapchat. At first it would only let me do about a 3 second video. I just read some of the replies to your problem and set my video quality to low and it gives me about 7 seconds. This really stinks. I love snapchat and doing videos on there so this is a real bummer. I'm wondering if we will just have to wait for snapchat to catch up with the times.
