How do I remove disabled work email

I'm trying to figure out how to remove a disabled work email off my Galaxy Note 3 or at least get the Action Required notifications to stop. I'm tired of seeing that little triangle pop up!!

No it doesn't work. It's linked with gmsil and I thought that if I uninstalled gmail that might work, but you can't uninstall gmail. I'm at a loss

Oh, ok, it's a Gmail account. Add a new gmail account then you can remove the old one. Same place as before, Settings, Accounts, this time go to Google, and remove it from there.
(edit) you don't TECHNICALLY have to add a new one, but, if you don't, stuff like the Play Store will no longer work and you'll start getting all sorts of apps stopping/throwing errors/nagging.
