Whistle notification

Hi,

I am new to the android phones and have purchased the galaxy 4. I am having problems with the default whistle notification that cuts off my incoming sms's.
I have gone into the "default notification" pane and changed this to something else via the sound feature and this has fixed the problem when a notification comes through for email/facebook etc.

I have gone into the settings for the sms (which I am not using any special app - just the standard samsung messaging section of the phone) an I have changed the "ringtone" for the sms. However when an sms comes through, my assigned sms tone comes through for a split second then the whistle comes through as the notification comes through. I have looked everywhere and do not have the whistle notification anywhere.

How do I stop this from happening.

That sounds strange..... Is it an MMS message?

No it is the default notice tone in which you can change.

I am pretty sure you can go into messaging and change it there. Isn't that the most annoying alert ever?

Yeah it is, or change the default in sounds.
