Screen Time out not working

I have an S4 Verizon. I have the screen set to time out at 30 seconds. However its not doing it. I am not whats causing it. Can a live wallpaper be the cause ? I have it from 30 seconds to 15 seconds to 1 minute and nothing

Something could be causing a full wake lock, which prevents the phone from going to sleep. Try installing Wake Lock Detector, wait several hours, then run it and see if it reports any apps that are executing full wake locks.

I noticed Pandora does it. When it is playing, the screen doesn't time out.

I came here looking to resolve why my time out setting wasn't cooperating and I read a response about installing a wakelock app, well it then dawned on me to close all open apps and viola.....timeout now works.....my d'oh moment for the day....
