I have a Verizon version of Galaxy S4 and when I visit the Weather Channel site and select 'Map' I get a message that my device does not support this feature and it loads the Classic Radar map from a couple of years ago. Does anyone know what is required to support the latest radar maps on Weather Channel and can it be functional on an S4?

Guessing, but it's probably flash... which is no longer supported by the newer versions of most of the browsers.

fatboy97 probably has it nailed. The Boat browser, available from the Play Store, does support flash, although I think it's still spotty as to whether individual websites with flash will work correctly.

"BeWeather and Widgets" is a great FREE app available in the play store. Really good radar maps and other information. I have had the paid version for years and this app satisfies my inner weather junkie.

Weatherbug is also a great app, with almost all the radar map features you could want, including adjustable opacity and map-in-motion. Although no forecast radar that I have found, which weather.com does have.

Thanks for the replies. I did load the latest version of Flash on my phone, but that did not fix the problem. I couldn't think of anything else to load so I posted it. I forgot about WeatherBug, had that on my Thunderbolt. I'll have to try that other app mentioned, "BeWeather and Widgets", and see how that is. I guess it's time to send a note to Weather Channel and bust their balls about it. Thanks for the support.

The Browsers do NOT support flash. It does not matter if you load flash, the browsers will not do anything with it because they don't support flash any more.

Another app you might look at is WeatherBug. They have a free version... I liked it so much I purchased the full version... they have added a lot of great features over the years... including animated weather maps so you can see where the storms are heading.

If it's just radar info you want, check out "Radar Now" ... doesn't do much else, but a great app if you just want to bring the current weather radar.
