How can I stop the Home button from powering my S4's display On?

I crawled around in settings and had no luck.

I would like to stop the Home button from being able to turn my display on. Because I turn the display on sometimes when I didn't want to. Like it's too convenient to use the Home button to turn on the display.

You're right, there's no setting to avoid that. I think your only option would be to replace the stock lockscreen with another app like WidgetLocker or GoLocker.

Dunno about stock. I'm on Hyperdrive rom & there's a tweak for it. Might also be an Xposed framework module that includes that capability. That does require root tho.

I'm running CM 10.2 and there's an option in the settings. If I remember correctly, I don't think it's available as an option in the stock firmware.
