No matter what I try I cannot get rid of the Samsung Hub widget from the home screen

- First, did you try to reboot?
- Next, are you using a 3rd party launcher like Nova, ADW, Go Launcher, or are you using the stock launcher from Samsung? Some of these 3rd party launchers have a lock feature which can disable adding or removing widgets from you screen.

This may be too simple of a question to ask...Did you try to delete the entire home screen with SHub on it completely? After setting another home screen as the default "home"of course.

so how do I do that?

Pinch any home screen. Should see 3 or more home screens and one with a "+" sign. One will have a white vs. gray house icon at the top. If its the SHub home screen, tap on the house icon on another screen that you'd like to become your new "home". Long press the SHub screen that you want to remove and drag up to trash can (remove) icon. When it trash can area turns red release your press.
