ok i have another thread which describes my problems.
http://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/107692-gmail-dead-help.html

if you have advice for me please reply there... or here.

My conclusion is to do a factory or hard reset. but my question is with my Target.com terms I am not allowed to change my plan or deactivate and move to another number. if i do a factory or hard reset, will this void those terms? anyone else ever heard of this?

my second question is how do i do a factory or hard reset?

Ive read instructions that included choosing "factory reset" under settings/privacy but I dont have that option there.

Dinc2 updated with Gingerbread UNrooted.

It wouldnt affect any terms or conditions you agreed to because your not deactivating the phone off of the account or changing the number or anything.

and to do the hard reset its under sd card / phone storage. HTC has it in a different place than the others
