Droid Razr and free call apps Compatibility?

I did not have that many issues before I replaced my Motorola Droid X to the Motorola Droid Razr, now:

My screen freezes very often
Battery runs out by mid day.
E-mail Messages arrive one day late
3G and 4G continuous connection failure
GPS fails, when I need it the most.
I really needed to use Tango or Viber to make free international calls, now is not possible.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my new Droid Razr or if it is the Verizon signal that is failing. Any recommendations for any new phone or service? I'm located in RGV TX area

Sounds like a data signal issue that could be caused by VZW or the device.

I previously used an HTC Thunderbolt before getting a Droid RAZR and unless you put the extended battery in the battery is far worse than the RAZR. I also found the RAZR to have far superior signal strength to the Thunderbolt. I moved to the RAZR MAXX from the original RAZR because I wanted a better battery. No regrets.
