Deposits for dumbphone line

I imagine Verizon requires deposits no matter what type of line it is but I was hoping it wouldn't enforce it if its just a dumbphone. Does anyone have any experience in dealing with deposits on dumbphones. I am required to do a deposit on my lines because I was only originally approved for 5 lines and I'm adding an additional one. Also is there anyone who's ever got a deposit waived all together or even for the month (and have it paid the following month). Thanks again.

I have 5 lines, 2 smartphones, and never had to pay a deposit. Just depends on how Verizon views your credit
