Why? Why won't they carry what will be the best smartphone ever. I'm talking about the HTC One. Why? Can anyone explain this?

Re: Why won't Verizon take their head out of their ***?

This is my guess, and it's only a guess: Verizon likes to brand things uniquely, so that the every phone on Verizon appears to be unique to Verizon. Samsung and Apple have enough market clout now to force Verizon to play ball their way. HTC doesn't. So if HTC wants to stick to its guns about having one name everywhere, they're not going to get Verizon's business.

They already are carrying the best smartphone ever, the galaxy s 4.

But there's no good reason for Verizon to not have the one as well.

But why? My friends all think now that DROID phones aren't phones that run android because of this marketing bull****. I hate Verizon, but I have no choice to move to another carrier. Hopefully it will come to Verizon. If it comes as a DROID it better have front speakers and all of the other HTC One features.

No offense, but I hate Samsung plastic pieces of trash. I like the software, but I can't stand plastic phones one bit.

The DROID Eris, HTC Thunderbolt, and then this Galaxy Nexus. Don't get me wrong I love a good Nexus phone. The build quality is decent too, but no where near HTC's phones.

Well, htc has released the same phone on Verizon, AT&T and tmo before, as recently as late last year.

This phone will come and go like so many others before it. If I had a dollar for every time people complained about us not having "the phone to have" at the moment, I could retire from Verizon Wireless early. I remember all the nonsens about the Samsung Nexus..........where are all those people that had to have it so bad they were threatening to leave?

Plastic phones.

Yet it's wrong when Samsung does it.

Also plastic has nothing to do with build quality. That's build material

No I didn't like HTC's plastic phones, but they were built a whole lot better than Samsung's phones that bend and crab like hell.

I agree that aluminum feels better, but it didn't necessarily mean better build quality.

If any phone took that kind of impact the phone would be badly damaged. Aluminum may not be as durable as aluminum, but at least it doesn't feel as if your holding a toy.

Granted, the examples I posted were a bit extreme, but still a number of people claim to not drop out mishandle the phone and still had bent phones.

Haters gonna hate. There's nothing rational about it, and nothing you can do about it

It's clear you've never used an S3 or S4. Not a hint of bend or flex in them, unlike the HTC 1x, / Evo 4G LTE which often came out of the box bent. But don't let facts stand in the way of a good bad opinion.

Of course they do, but choosing an alternative might mean a lack of service at home or at work or both which basically means the alternative choices are mostly worthless.
