Verizon wireless introduced the max edge which is only available to people that have unlimited data. But you can't get it if your under contract. So you can't agree to give up unlimited data for 6gb data, agree to pay full retail price for a phone. You can't even just give up unlimited data for 6gb data and no new phone. I've tried 3 reps, one store and executive office.

So maybe people are right, Verizon won't force us off unlimited data.

Yeah, the max is used in conjunction with Edge, although, you can be under contract, the requirement is that you have an eligible upgrade, which, at least for the next day, can be different from the contract end date

I was hoping to get an early upgrade by offering up unlimited data and switching to max, sounds like that plan won't work out for me....

Oh well, January is just around the corner right??
