Transfer upgrade questions

I have unlimited data so I'm not gonna use my upgrade but another person on my account broke her phone and so we called Verizon and asked if I transfer my upgrade to her account would it affect my unlimited and they said as long as the phone is not activated on my account it wouldn't.

So I was wondering her account has an upgrade in January, if she were to use that upgrade and activate it on her line then I take the phone and put it on my account will that affect my unlimited?

Short answer, it's possible to utilizing the transferring of upgrades to retain unlimited data. The main key is to activate the device on the non-unlimited line FIRST.
