I bought my iPad Air 2 at the Apple Store and I could get insurance on that as well as my note 4 which I bought at bestbuy ?

You can get insurance on anything if you're willing to pay the premium. Lloyd's of London will even insure the weather (the premiums aren't astronomical, but they're close if you want insurance for a few months in the future or more).

So the questions are how much a month, what's the co-pay and what's covered? Coverage for factory defects is a lot cheaper than complete loss, theft, breakage and water damage insurance.

I'm asking though even if I didn't buy the product from a Verizon store?
