Does VZW Device Payment Plan affect my credit history?
(assuming I always pay on-time and completely pay it off
at the end of 24 months) I've been a VZW customer for
over 10 years and have never been late with any payments.
In fact, i always pay on the same day the paper bill arrives.
(not a fan of auto payment, however)

Now that I think about it, does VZW run my credit when I
sign-up for Device Payment Plan?

I don't believe that Verizon runs your credit... They didn't when I added a line of service on contract

Dpham is right. If you're already an existing customer, it's only an internal credit check and not are hard pull from the credit bureaus.

Verizon runs credit initially when going with them. Maintaining good history with them is accounted for. You have a line of credit with them. When there was subsidiary phones o was able to charge to my accounts. Etc.
I sold wireless for around 5 yrs. Some people require deposit. Some do not.

Obviously Verizon will run a credit check if your a new customer, otherwise its just 6 months of faithful payments and your good to go. payment plans don't effect your credit as long as your not late or default that is.

It's a "soft credit check." No one is going to be given a $600 plus dollar phone with out their history being looked at. That's how companies fail.

It doesn't show up on the credit report which is the important thing.
