Cellphone feature removal question

I couldn't find this question in here so I'm asking now. Does Verizon remove features on the iPhone like they do on Android phones?

No. Apple won't let them.

Hallux, thank you. It seems they take away features that could never harm their network and other carriers leave on the customers phones, so it makes no sense to me as to why they do it. Maybe apple will get my business the next time I'm up for a new phone.

Apple won't let carriers force the carrier add-on apps. Apple also controls all aspects of the firmware/OS, the carrier just certifies that it will work.
