My wife and I are both on old grandfathered unlimited plans that we had from before we were together, and I have general questions on the best way to go about getting on a single account. Do we need to physically go to the store? Moving to the new unlimited plans, is there an activation fee for both of us?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks.

It will be hard to keep both grandfathered plans if you move them to one account. It is usually lost during an assumption of liability.

You can combine into one account. I would look at the February Unlimited plan. It would cost $140. You can get this from an online chat after you combine plans.

There should not be an activation fee. Going to the store would be the easiest way.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I'm ok with moving off the grandfathered plans so that's not an issue. I saw something on transferring using the My Verizon app so maybe I'll give that a try first.

I feel like it would be better to just into a corporate store and get this handled.

I initiated the process through the app but it pushed me to call a rep. I gave it a try and within 10 minutes had it all done. So far, so good. Will let you know if anything changes.
