Has anyone else successfully fried an evo doing the wire trick? I had no problem when I did it to mine but when I tried my fiance's an hr after she got it, something went terribly wrong and it won't turn on or respond to a charger. =( Guess I'm going to Wal-Mart before she realizes what I did. #doghouse

Mine did the same thing but it still responded to fastboot commands. You may want to try before going to wally world.

What command did you give it that actually restarted the phone?

I just used the controlbear -r to restore it. If that doesn't work try controlbear -f. Or you can try to flash your partitions manually with fastboot but I can't remember what the commands are but if you look on unlimited.io's troubleshooting you should find them. Also make sure that your hboot is unlocked otherwise the commands won't work.
