Accelerometer Help

I have an Optimus V, Stock ROM rooted, running a custom kernel. Lately the usually flawless accelerometer in the phone has just stopped working entirely. Games like Air Penguin and Froggy Jump are unplayable. Suggestions on how to fix? Thanks in advance.

You could try clearing the cache, and dalvik cache in recovery. Otherwise its time to do a full wipe, and flash a rom like IHO or Harmonia 1.8. Harmonia would be the most stable and stock-like rom.
