Wow wayyy overpriced imo. Why pay that much for an outdated phone when the nexus 4 is $299? So glad I'm jumping ship from virgin.

I am so glad that I am not the only one that feels this way.

Props to Virgin for giving us options, but damn...even the 16GB Nexus 4 for $349 is such a better value. Yeah, you'll pay more for your service (vs the $35 plan) but only $10 or $15 more...or even less than you pay now if you have good T-Mobile coverage. Those that will complain about not losing their $25 plan don't count, as they obviously aren't shopping for a new phone in the first place.

Right. I think this isn't a good deal at all.
For $70 less for the phone, and $5 less a month, you can get a phone with much better hardware AND software.
I don't see the logic in taking advantage of this, personally.

I think vm is losing their shine. A year ago when I got my OV it made sense, a 3g android for $150 at $25 a month. Now its $370 for last years phone to run on a dying 4g network. Just my $.02.

Just better hope its a 1.5 processor.

Roms make that phone better, but sometimes, ICS runs slow on it.

It's not a horrible phone for that price off contract, just doesn't make sense financially after the Nexus 4 was announced.

My buddy has a GS1 on Alltel and it runs AOKP Jellybean smooth as hell, so I imagine the S2 would handle anything you threw at it just fine.

I didn't know they still had alltel. And yeah if ics can run fine on this phone and jb runs alright then it should run wonderful on the gs2

Well, even though its coming. The nexus 4 still seems to be the best phone available for the price. Shame on anyone that thinks that because it doesn't have 4g lte it isn't worth a phone. With lte coverage so small and hspa having the same if not better speeds, and the fact that you won't really need anything else faster then 5mbits per second. The s2 will be bound to cdma. So you'd pay for that phone, and could only use it on virgins network.

If anything, get the T-Mobile S2 for $300 and only pay $30 a month.
Same price for a Nexus 4.
There are just so many better deals out there than this.

I'm getting my Nexus 4 Monday. Seeing this makes me even more glad I didn't wait.

Why would anyone ever buy this? I got my N4 for cheaper then this, and when I switch to T-Mobile, I'll be paying less per month than if I had upgrade on Virgin.

The ONLY reason I can think of for someone to purchase this device over a N4 is because TMob doesn't have good coverage where they live.

Or it cost less on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
