Having some gallery issues. Please help!

For some reason, my gallery is creating multiple folders for my pics. I have them in folders on my SD card the way I want them, but when I open gallery, there are multiple folders where there should only be one. For example, on my SD card, I have a folder called pictures/friends. It has all the pics of my friends. When I open gallery, there are 2 folders titled friends. It drives me crazy! How do I get my pictures in ONE folder in the gallery like they are on the SD card? Please help!

If nobody can help you with this, a quick solution would be installing QickPic, it is a replacement for the stock gallery, and in my experience about 100x's better. Light and fast and now has some extra options like hiding certain folders.

Have you try unmounting the SD card and then re-mounting it?

[Menu] <Settings> <SD Card & Phone Storage> <Unmount SD Card>

I find that I have to toggle the SD card mounting, whenever I change my pics on the SD card, in order for Gallery to recognize them properly.

[Edit] You do NOT need to physically remove the SD card from the phone's SD slot. [/Edit]

Tried unmounting and remounting SD card. That didn't work. Downloaded quickpic. Liking it so far. Thanks for the tip.
