    Just curious really.

I noticed that going from Cardboard V1 to a better plastic but still cheapo holder from Amazon, that it changed the size and shape of the views but does it change anything else?

I ask because, although the new viewer has adjustable lens, I still have to have them pulled fully towards me to get an almost clear image (that with a little eye strain can make clear, but obviously I'd like to not have to force my eyes to focus if I can)

Does the QR code control anything like that? So I can maybe try some others that may work with my headset.

    Welcome to Android Central!

I don't think the QR code has anything to do with adjusting the lenses. That is going to be different for every person because everyone's eyesight is different.

QR codes are just like barcodes but they can contain a lot more data in the same size block of ink. They control whatever the app reading them allows them to control, there's no universal "QR codes control X" function.

The idea of the QR codes is to tell the Cardboard app what the focal length and other stats for the position of the lenses. Cardboard can adjust for that when you input the info. The QR code allows more variables to be shared.
