Do you want to edit images?
    Create your own wallpapers?
Have questions on the software we use?

Post it here and others can learn.

The standard is photoshop, but other programs can do the same thing without the expense of Adobe products.

    Want to edit an image?
    Try these programs for FREE.

    GIMP

Picasa 3: Free download from Google

Post any questions you have, etc. or images you want corrected here.

    Not a problem Jayn2g.
Its actually easier IMHO because with the sliding screens, you have to crop the image in the phone so you don't have to have the EXACT screen resolution.

Is it something you want designed or something you want arranged, etc.?
If you post an image on here, or email it to me, I will do a step by step walkthrough on editing/ sizing it.

I've been using Picasa lately and it seems to be good. Does the free smugmug account have a bandwidth limit at all? That's my issue with photobucket. It has the bandwidth limit so if my images get loaded in browser or downloaded too many times then they'll go down until the 23rd of the month. I have all of my photobucket images backed up to picasa but haven't had the time or ambition to dig through all the old thread posts and change the links lol (aka too lazy)

Not free accounts. Min is 50 a year but there is no limit. It's all unlimited so right now I am uploading 2gb of photos from a bball game and will probably have around 4gb to upload tomorrow from a snowboarding comp.

So, I'm a former Pre owner and I have a photo of me and my godson that I wanted to set on my Epic. It's not working out well for me nor are any pics/wallpapers/backgrounds - regardless of where they come from. My Pre kept the pic of me and Ethan perfectly sized and sharp looking and the entire picture fit on the pre. Actually, when I say the entire picture fit - I do not mean it took up the whole pre screen size - I just mean the actual pic itself did not have to be cropped or anything and it fit on the pre screen in the middle. Sure there was nothing above or below - but the sharpness was fantastic.

Here on my Epic - no matter what I use... it's huge. I get that it's spanning across the multiple screens, but I'd much rather have nothing on the rest and a perfect, clear pic of me and E on my main, home screen.

I even just downloaded the free app called "backgrounds" - thinking that would work without needing any adjustments. Wrong! Any background I choose is HUGE and distorted when applied.

Can you help me to learn and comprehend? Please.

    Dee,
For the time being the easy answer is to download launcher pro shock allows you to use an image and lock it so it doesn't scroll when you change screens.

To use the image you have, what has to be done is the canvas needs to be wider then the image. I will post step by step instructions soon.
