Since HP has now given up WebOS & RIM has always been regarded as good with hardware / bad with software, could this strengthen their position?

Hmmm....Blackberry hardware running WebOS with the ability to run android apps? We can all dream. Of course didn't blackberry already copy a lot of WebOS's secret sauce for QNX?

I use a blackberry for work and android for personal after several years of Palm Treos. I STILL miss a lot of things about those Treos every time I pick up either newer device. Was pretty pumped about the Pre3 and was thinking of going back. Since everything is going to the big screen form factor and the days of hard keyboards are behind us, it would be really cool if a year from now we could buy an HTC quad core superphone and be able to boot it to Android, WebOS, or Windows. Just like I could take any laptop and run linux, windows, chrome etc. Anything but Apple.
