Strange Last seen

Hello,

I have one question:

One of my contacts in WhatsApp, have a strange behavior relating to the 'last seen' timestamp.
The timestamp shown for this contact, always changes with one minute difference.
For example, if i look at 'last seen' for this contact now, it shows the time "13:14 PM".
If i log out and log in again and see the 'last seen' again, it shows "13:13 PM".
If i login later, it will show "13:14" again, etc.
So, it shows the time with one minute difference(for ex. either 13:13 or 13:14 ).
This behavior is not always, but time to time only for this contact.

Please, do you have a explanation for this case?Why is this happening?
Maybe that user have made any trick manipulating the 'last seen' timestamp??

Dont worry , I have the same. It is not the trick, it is a bug made by whatsapp. I tested it with my eyes. Hope they will fix it.(yea it was my girlfriends time-stamp and i became suspicious)

Internally, WhatsApp servers give the client application the numbers of seconds since the last time the contact was seen online. So the app substracts that number of seconds from the current time. In your case, it probably happens that the time is exactly between the 13:13:59 and 13:14:00 minute, so it's easy that the calculation sometimes gives a minute and sometimes another one.
