Why my whatsupp video status is bad quality

I upload video status on whatsupp but video is terrible quality, video is recorded with gopro and when I open in player video is hd quality but when I upload on whatsupp status video is terrible bad quality, anyone please help me?

Most messaging services really like to compress pictures and videos before they transport them because not doing so is expensive for them and high def files displayed on phones tend to be wasted.

Ideally, what you want to do is upload your videos to a hosting site then send the URL of the video to your friends.
