note 10 pro max Global, not updating from 12.5 to 13

-in possession of a global note 10 pro max
-miui 12.5 enhanced currently installed
-have tried multiple region settings and vpn locations but can't trigger an update to miui 13.
is this merely a matter of waiting or is there an obstacle here?

Updated my note 10 pro here in the UK weeks ago with no problems at all

I finally got. MIUI 13 on my 18 month old Poco F2 Pro.

Only minor negative currently is I can only scroll down a section at a time, where my 60 hz screen in recent months was super fast and would zip to the bottom of a long page with a flick - I presume like a 120hz screen.

The animation scales stayed at the 0.5 I had set them, so I presume this was now designed in, or it may improve in time.

Nothing wrong with it, just now with its previous flagship chipset in the SD865 it feels slightly less special!

** also I keep a 1 month older Mi 10 Lite 5G updated at home and 13 hasn't dropped yet, even though it gets earlier patches and had 12.5.7 long before the Poco F2 Pro got to 12.5.4 and then to only 12.5.5 until this week.


(should I include more of all this in my upcoming autobiography? Riveting - isn't it?)
