is there a way to get youtube to work on firefox? for me it always says i need a plugin but i already downloaded the flash update

It's not just youtube if i try to watch a movie or tv show from sites even little video clips from espn.com or nba.com don't work it's only on firefox it'll say i need adobe flash player. This wouldn't be a problem but firefox is the only browser i've been able to sync my bookmarks from my browser too. Does firefox let you guys play videos?
