    Default How many kHz should I use

    I have installed a recorder and before I saw the results, I knew nothing about kHz. So here's my dilemma, the better the quality the more mb taken up. It ranges from 8kHz - 44.1kHz or 945kb/min -5.4mb/min. The kHz choices are:
    8,11,16,22,32, and 44.1
    What should I choose.

    Depend on what you are recording and the quality you want. Music CD tends to use 44.1khz samples. For voice recording, 16khz may be enough which is used for VoIP. See the chart here:
