So after seeing that the Xoom will have an upgrade available in the coming months after its release for LTE I started to dream a bit.
What if phones had swappable parts?
Swappable in the sense that I could take my phone into a store and have its hardware upgraded. For instance, I take a Droid X into VZW and look at a catalog of available upgrades. Upgrades include adding a NFC chip and changing the processor to 1GHZ dual-core.
It could really make phones last longer since when something new comes out we could just change our phone to match the specs.
