I use the app "OpenVPN connect" when I am on public WiFi. I have decided to use VPNs while on public WiFI as I have been the victim of a Firesheep attack.
However, on some public WiFi networks, even after connecting and clicking "agree" my VPN connection keeps getting blocked. My VPN (Froot VPN) uses UDP ports (I see this when connected) , and I have selected the "adaptive" protocol. This doesn't work on some public WiFi networks. Is it possible to use "TCP" as the VPN protocol, as sometimes UDP ports could be blocked?
I am new to all this VPN stuff, so I am very unsure about this. Thanks!
