Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH 1747 Will Turn Off When I Try Boot Mode aor Safe Mode? HELP

Hi guys im hoping somebodybcan help me out see I had my s3 on 20% when it decided to turn off and not turn on (not rooted) when id turn it on it would only vibrate and go to samsung logo idk what version I have then I found an article on how to put it on safe mode? And what I did was instead of holding the power button I would put the battery in once I felt the vibration I would hold down then down volume button and home button then when I got to the screen i would press the down volume button to restart the phone and the screen would turn off then vibrate I was thinking of just buying a jig help please
