Tablet won't work with otg usb keyboard case

Hi, I have a Verizon Ellipsis that I purchased a otg usb keyboard case for but unfortunatley it's not working with my Ellipsis. I even have a Galaxy Tab 2 and tried using the case with that but still nothing. It works fine when plugged into my computer though. Is there a way to get the tablet to work with the keyboard??

Probably not. USB keyboards are meant to work with PCs, not with Android devices. You should look into a Bluetooth keyboard.

I've been told that some tablets just don't have the power to run the keyboard so you need a cable that allows you to power the keyboard and plug into tablet. Waiting for my cable now so will see if this advice was right.

Did the cable work? I just purchased one to attach a sd reader to move pictures from my Nikon camera to the tablet. Anyone try this and did it work? Please let me know or I'll let you know when I get the cable!
