Samsung Galaxy S5 Battery Issues

A

AC Question

I've had my Galaxy S5 for about a month now and I'm in love with the device. However for the past week my phone seems to be dying overnight with a complete charge and no apps running in the back round. Another problem is it seems to be getting really warm while charging and with light use. The brightness isn't all the way up it's fairly low and it registered at 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Is there any steps I can take to keep it cool and keep the battery life up? Thank you

Welcome to Android Central! Even though your phone is pretty new, it's always possible the battery could be defective. Take it out, place it flat on a table, and try to spin it. If it spins freely, it's bulging in the middle, which is a bad sign--try a new battery. In fact, I'd show it to the store where you bought it and ask for a free replacement battery.
