Messages full

[AC Question]

I have a ZTE Merit straight talk phone. Just lately I have been receiving messages thta
my txt box is full and can not or will not let txt come to me...there are no messages in my txt box!

Welcome to Android Central! What to you mean txt box? Are you referring to the messaging app's inbox? Are you saying that you have no saved or archived text messages? Some people never delete any of their text messages, and over time, they can build up and use up a lot of memory. Try to delete any saved or archived texts that you don't need.

Another thing to try is go to Settings>Apps>All, select the messaging app, and Clear Cache.

Text messages can add up. You might be surprised how much room they can take.

Yes, especially if there are lots of photos and videos mixed in.
