Sprint Samsung GS3 won't turn on.

When the phone is charging, I can access download mode and recovery mode. When it isn't charging, it doesn't do anything when I try to power it on, not even vibrate. When I try to turn the phone on normally (while charging), it vibrates and starts to power on, but always shuts off a few seconds later. I've tried taking the battery out, powering the phone, then putting the battery back in and powering on, same thing happens. I've left it sans battery overnight then tried powering on again, same thing happens. I've wiped the cache partitioning in recovery mode, and when I tried to reboot through recovery mode, the little android guy in the background fell over and the screen said error. I've tried a different battery, but it doesn't change anything. The phone was working just fine yesterday, and this problem occluded last night. It was fully charged, so it shouldn't have shut off due to low battery. The phone has never been rooted. What can I do?

It sounds like the battery is dead. You might want to try another battery.
