Moto G - Home Screen

[AC Question]

Hi Everyone,

I have had my Moto G (currently for about 2-weeks now and I have noticed a problem. Sometimes when I am using the phone and press the "home" button the apps on the home screen could take between 3 - 6 seconds to appear. This has been happening sporadically and I just wanted to know if anyone know has had this problem or know what the cause could be? I have now disabled Google Now and that has reduced the issue a bit but it still happens.

It happens a lot more if I'm using Google Chrome or watching a video then press the home button to exit. The phone just hangs for a few seconds before the apps appear or before I can use the app launcher.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Two weeks is pretty new! But try clearing the Cached Data in Settings > Storage, and if no use, wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery Mode.

I had the same issue, especially after leaving chrome with a lot of tabs open. Flipboard and a couple of apps sometimes did the same. Never had that problem since I started using Nova launcher
