MicroSD Formatted Several Times, Still Read-Only on HTC

I have formatted my 16GB Micro SD card 5 times using SD formatter on my win 7 laptop. After every format, I will transfer roughly 7GB worth of data to the card. Using my laptop, the card has no problem. Inserting the card on my HTC Wildfire cellphone, it will show that the card is "Read-Only". I cant save anything on the card from my cellphone. Please help.

What file format are you formatting to and does it show read only after formatting before you save anything on to it?
