s3 black screen

[AC Question]

My phone was on while it was on the charger. I took it off the charger pressed the home button and it stayed a black screen. I also took the battery out turned it back on a still a black screen. everything else works. do you know the problem?

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the screen failed. Do you see any light at all? What does it look like in a dark room--is it glowing at all, or is it completely black? You probably need to bring it to a repair shop.
