Question Redmi 12 (5g) disable black screen during calls

Can someone please help me disable this annoying black screen which is used to take screenshots (I guess).
They appear while I am on a call/whatsapp audio call. This prevents me from disconnecting the call quickly.

Wow. That's a feature I never knew I had until just now.
What you have brought up there is the Partial Screenshot feature, which can be enabled in different ways through Button Shortcuts or Button and Gesture Shortcuts, so you need to find which way you have enabled it. Look under Additional Settings (I have MIUI 14)

This phone came with this feature enabled by default, and touching my ear whilst on a call caused it to pop up.
Thank you for solving the problem. I have now disabled the partial screenshot feature from the additional settings.

That was weird but wouldn't be a big surprise I guess.
I wonder if it happened to others, maybe with a change to the HyperOS update.
You possibly triggered it looking through the Settings? Who knows.

Any further issues with it please let us know, as I'm curious.

Just in case : I don't think it was a proximity sensor trigger if that's what you mean, but maybe long pressing a side button when answering. There are two Settings areas for choosing a method for Partial Screenshot, the first one turns on 3 finger activation only.
Maybe it's possible a sliding ear on the screen confused it!
If you answer a call looking at the phone then it's a screen movement.
