Razr M Google backup

[AC Question]

I'm upgrading to a new Android phone next week and need some clarification on the backup and migration of the apps and data from old to new phone. My RazrM is NOT ROOTED. Do I need a 3rd party app to accomplish this task or is using Google the most convenient and simple solution. Thanks for any help with this.

Whatever is saved to your Google account downloads into your new device when you sign into your account on that. There's some useful info and tips here:

Belodion thanks for that. So, for example, if I have calendar app such as Jorte, when I sent up the new device, will google restore all my entries on the reinstall/restore?
