trouble dowloading attachments from email

I have a Galaxy Exhibit and when I open a email (Comcast) and there is an attachment it says I must download it first in order to view it. How do I download the attachment?

Are you using Gmail? If so, there should be an attachment at the bottom of that email. Click on it to open or download, whichever you prefer.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the stock Email app, or the Xfinity Connect app?

You should be able to long-press the attachment to bring up an option to save or download it to your device.
