Kindle on my Prestigio Multipad 8 keeps switching off, how do I correct this?

I have been using the Kindle App on my Prestigio Multipad 8.0 HD quite successfully. I recently purchased books through Amazon and they seemed to download successfully. While reading one of the books the app started just switching off and going back to the main screen. I have tried deleting the book and reinstalling but the problem persists and it now happens in other books that never had the problem previously. Is this a setting problem or is there an inherent software problem with the Kindle android app that downloads to the Prestigio Multipad 8.0 HD?

I would really appreciate advice for a fix applicable to this specific device as I have had great enjoyment from it to date.

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Apps, select Kindle, and Clear Cache and Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open Kindle again, log into your Amazon account, and try again.
