Got a nexus 6

If I say "hello Google remind me to buy ask for Bbq sauce next time I go to McDonald's" It pops up with a cool reminders screen.

Any way of getting to this without using your gob?

On some handsets you can either long press the home button or swipe up from the home button to activate google now.

You may need to assign the action in settings first though

Sorry I meant is there any way to access the reminders app (if it is an app) without talking.

Open Google Now, swipe in from the left, and tap Reminders.

I've swiped opened up Google now but I'm not seeing reminders. How far it is to work near by places, weather and various other bits of useful information but can't see reminders.

After you swipe up to open Google Now, swipe in from the left (or tap on the hamburger menu button at the upper left) to see the slide in menu. Tap Reminders there.
