Why is my Asus tf201 freezing up?

[AC Question]

asus tf201 freezes up. Can't do aything .

The tablet freezes up, when I touch the screen nothing moves, also 4-5 apps will appear saying its unresponsive do I want to close. These are apps I havent opened, this happens all the time.

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which disables all 3rd party apps. If the problem goes away, it's probably one of those apps that's causing the problem. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then you might have to try a factory data reset. For Safe Mode on most devices, from a powered on state, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears, then press and hold Power Off until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.

The other thing to consider is a corrupt SD card, which can cause various issues. Unmount any SD card (in Settings>Storage​), remove, and reboot.
