My Android is lost, is there an app that can enable the location remotely?

androidlost can't find my phone if location is turned off

I have a samsung note 3. I'm using androidlost app right now, in case if my phone gets lost. I noticed that androidlost app cannot turn on my locations if it is turned off. If my location is turned off, It does not locate my phone, because I tried to locate my phone with location turned off and it doesnt work.

is there a better app out there that enable locations and/or can locate a lost phone with locations turned off?

Welcome to Android Central! If the phone's Location function is turned off, there is no way for the phone to determine where it is, and so there's no way a phone fiinder service would be able to locate it either.

Is there any reason why you would turn the Location function off? You don't have to keep the GPS radio on all the time--just keep it on Battery Saving, which means the phone determines location by using wi-fi and cell signals.

I was worried it would drain my batteries more. I can leave it on power saving all day? I use google maps a lot throughout the day.
