Why isn't my rear camera working properly all of a sudden?

why my rear camera is not working properly all of a sudden?

I dont have any clue my HTC ONE M8 rear camera is not working properly. Although i have changed the camera settings to default. But still i am getting that cloudy effect whenever i take a pic. Please advise its really urgent.

Try Settings, Apps, All, scroll to Camera, select Clear Data, Clear Cache, Force Stop. Power Off and Restart the phone, then open the Camera app and try it again.
