Why does my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i boots into recovery mode only?

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i boots into recovery mode only.

I have an ace device and today i found it in recovery mode so i chose reboot system now but it just froze so i removed the battery but it always boots to recovery even though i want to boot into download mode so i can flash a new firmware.Any ideas?
