Why can't I get a good network connection even with my wifi being on?

My phone is not working properly!

I just bought moto G two months ago and still its acting weird! My wifi is ON, and i cant find a good network. They are all pasword locked. I use roaming, but i cant use internet! Everything worked fine yesterday. I have already reset default settings 3 times and now i cant even migrate my contacts and apps i had previously. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a home wi-fi network? Are you able to connect to that? Have you tried going to your local cafe or library--any place with free open wi-fi, and try connecting there?

Are you able to connect to your 3G or 4G mobile data? Which carrier do you use? Are you sure you have a data plan with them?
