How do I move items from gallery to SD card on my samsung5 active

I added an SD card to my Samsung S5 Active. Now how do I transfer all my photos and videos etc. from the gallery to the SD card in order to free up storage on the device ?

Welcome to Android Central! Use the MyFiles app or a 3rd party file manager app like ES File Explorer to copy the files to the SD. If you have a lot of files, you're better off using your computer. Take this opportunity to back up those pictures on your computer by doing the following:

1. Unmount the SD card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and insert it into your computer.
2. Connect the phone to the computer via USB.
3. Use Windows Explorer to look in the /DCIM/Camera directory, and copy all of the photos to the hard disk. Use the Copy function, and not the Move function--if something goes wrong with the Move process, then you might lose the original file as well. Copy first, make sure they copied successfully, then delete the files on the phone.
4. Use Windows Explorer to copy the photos from the hard disk to the SD card.
5. In Windows Explorer, right click the SD card drive, then click Eject.
6. Remove the SD card from the computer and insert it back into the phone.
